The vice-chancellor (VC) of Rabindra Bharati University (RBU), Sabyasachi Basu Ray Chaudhury, on Thursday said that he wanted to be relieved of his responsibilities as soon as possible.

Amid controversy over viral images on social media showing young men and women with objectionable slogans written on their bodies at a spring festival at Kolkata's Rabindra Bharati University, its Vice Chancellor Sabyasachi Basu Ray Chaudhury on Friday evening submitted his resignation letter, a highly placed varsity source said.
