Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Suryavanshi, who was allegedly assaulted by a group of MLAs in the Maharashtra Assembly last month, will depose before a fact-finding committee today. The six-member committee, headed by MLA Ganpatrao Deshmukh, is expected to submit its report to the Speaker of the house within 10 days.

Two Maharashtra legislators have surrendered before the Mumbai Crime Branch today for allegedly thrashing a policeman inside the premises of the state Assembly two days ago. The MLAs - Kshitij Thakur from the Bahujan Vikas Aghadi and Ram Kadam from the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena will now be produced in court later today.
