The Supreme Court on Wednesday stayed all proceedings against two women journalists accused by Tripura Police of spreading "fake visuals" of communal violence in the northeastern state last month.

Sammriddhi Sakunia and Swarna Jha said they were covering the recent violence in Tripura. They were detained in Assam on Sunday after a case was filed against them by the Tripura police for "spreading communal disharmony" following their reportage.
