Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday flagged off "Modi Vans" under the BJP's "seva hi sangathan" programme to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 20 years as the head of a government, including over 13 years as Gujarat chief minister.

The BJP is set to start the second phase of a countrywide voluntary service to promote Covid vaccination, promote awareness and help people affected with the disease.

Marking seven years of BJP rule in India, party chief JP Nadda launched the Seva hi sangathan programme and attacked AAP and Arvind Kejriwal over their criticism of the national party.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday described the BJP's welfare work during the coronavirus-induced nationwide lockdown as the "biggest seva yagya in history" and asserted that the party has come to represent all sections of society due to its service to the people.
