Karnataka Minister for Muzarai Shashikala Jolle on Saturday said the state has decided to rename 18th century Mysuru ruler- Tipu Sultan- era temple rituals like 'Salaam Arathi', 'Salaam Mangalarathi' and 'Deevatige Salaam', with local names.

Karnataka Minister for Haj and Wakf Shashikala Jolle too has issued a statement clarifying that there was no proposal or file before the government regarding starting separate colleges for Muslim women.

A special pooja will be offered at all temples in Karnataka that come under the Muzrai department on Vijayadashami, against the spread of COVID-19 and for the control of a possible third wave, Minister for Muzrai, Haj & Wakf, Shashikala Jolle said.
