The United States confirmed on Friday that the leader of Shebab militants in Somalia was killed in an air strike earlier this week, in what the White House called a major blow to Al-Qaeda's network.

Somalia's Al-Qaeda linked Shebab vowed on Thursday to move their war to neighbouring Kenya, one of the top commanders said in broadcast urging fighters to launch attacks.
