A complaint has been registered against film maker Shirish Kunder with Hazratganj Police for making 'derogatory' remarks against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Soon after, the director offered an unconditional apology through his twitter handle.

After Mr Neupane's allegations that Kriti was lifted from his own short film BOB, Mr Kunder has accused him of manipulating BOB's release date

Of the two films, BOB is relatively obscure while Kriti stars a high-profile cast of Radhika Apte, Manoj Bajpayee and Neha Sharma. Both deal with a psychiatrist who treats a man unsure if his girlfriend exists outside of his mind

On Wednesday morning, the short film starring Radhika Apte and Manoj Bajpayee was revealed to have been removed from YouTube after being accused of plagiarism. Now, a Twitter user points out that the poster of the film also looks remarkably like that of 2015 Japanese film Gekijourei

Kriti had reportedly crossed more than 2.5 million views before it was taken down. Nepali filmmaker Aneel Neupane, who alleged that Kriti's plot was lifted from BOB, tweeted: "Those who seek Kriti will find it removed. Thank you all for the immense support"

"Assuming your position is correct that the two films are so similar, then it is you who has infringed our client's copyright," the notice to Nepali filmmaker Aneel Neupane read.

Aneel Neupane, a filmmaker from Nepal wrote on his Facebook page that Mr Kunder's psychological-thriller starring Radhika Apte and Manoj Bajpayee was copied from Bob and alleged that Mr Kunder had "practically stolen the plot and made it into his film"
