In turmoil-hit Punjab, the festival of lights, Diwali, will be dimmed this year. After protests over the alleged desecration of the holy book 'Guru Granth Sahib', the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee has announced that the Golden Temple will neither be adorned with fancy lights nor would it witness any fireworks this Diwali.
