The Bombay High Court today turned down the plea of the actress Pratyusha Banerjee's mother Shoma Banerjee plea for transfer of the case to the Crime Branch.

The Bombay High Court today posted for hearing tomorrow a petition filed by Shoma Banerjee, mother of actress Pratyusha Banerjee who allegedly committed suicide on April 1, seeking probe by Mumbai Police Crime Branch into the case.

The web of allegations behind TV actress Pratyusha Banerjee's death intensified further as her parents wrote to the CM alleging that the 25-year-old did not commit suicide but was murdered by her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh. They also asked that the case be handed over to the Crime Branch to ensure justice for their daughter.
