A man has been caught trying to smuggle over 100 live snakes into mainland China by cramming them into his trousers, according to the country's customs authority.

Thai customs officials rescued a red panda, snakes, monkeys and chameleons from checked-in luggage at the country's main airport this week after arresting six Indian nationals for attempted smuggling.

YouTuber Elvish Yadav, accused of using smuggled snakes in a music video, told police that the snakes had been arranged by Bollywood singer Fazilpuria, sources said.

The Noida police have launched an investigation against YouTuber and Big Boss winner Elvish Yadav for alleged use of snake venom at rave parties. The 26-year-old has denied all the allegations.

Elvish Yadav is a popular YouTuber who manages two channels: Elvish Yadav Vlogs and Elvish Yadav. His content predominantly revolves around daily life experiences and fictional storytelling.

Security Agents at Huanggang Customs noticed the man looking nervous and avoiding eye contact with them.

The officials immediately confiscated the snakes and handed them over to the relevant department.

Two bags containing snakes, monkeys and tortoises were found at Chennai Airport last week, officials said. The unattended bags were spotted by customs officials near the baggage claim belt at the airport on Wednesday.

The authorities said that the smuggled animals would be returned to their country of origin.
