Scientists in Australia will use printed solar panels to power a Tesla on a 15,000-Km road trip around the country. The initiative is called Charge Around Australia and its aim is to get people to think more about electric vehicles and ease range-anxiety.

In the wake of rising levels of air pollution, 27 students of the Manipal Institute of Technology in Karnataka have developed a solar-powered car called SERve or the Solar Electric Road Vehicle in order encourage people to go green.

The solar cells currently put the electricity they generate onto the national grid, but future plans include using the energy to power street lights, and even refuel electric vehicles wirelessly.
