The estranged wife of former Delhi Law Minister Somnath Bharti today told the Supreme Court that she was not ready to undergo mediation to settle the domestic violence and attempt to murder case lodged by her against the AAP leader.

Jailed Aam Aadmi Party lawmaker Somnath Bharti was today denied interim bail by the Supreme Court which sought the presence of his wife before it on Monday to explore the possibility of mediation in domestic violence and attempt to murder case lodged by her.

Aam Aadmi Party lawmaker Somnath Bharti surrendered at a police station in West Delhi's Dwarka on Monday evening, hours after the Supreme Court ordered him to do so.

The Aam Aadmi Party's Somnath Bharti, who is wanted in an attempt to murder case filed by his wife, was ordered by the Supreme Court to surrender by 6 pm today. "If you are a responsible citizen, then don't run away," was the court's stern message for Mr Bharti.
