In a relief to actor Sonu Sood, the Bombay High Court on Monday extended temporary protection to him from coercive action by Mumbai's civic body BMC, against the illegal conversion of a residential building into a hotel in Juhu.

Actor Sonu Sood has been accused of illegally converting a residential building in Mumbai's upscale Juhu into a hotel by Mumbai's civic body BMC, which has also filed a police complaint.

"I am pleased to inform that on the request of Sr. PI - Colaba Police Station, have handed over my Gulf Hotel in Colaba to BMC and Mumbai Police as a quarantine centre," wrote Farhan Azmi

"I'm really happy to open the doors of my hotel to these real time heroes," said Sonu Sood
