Sopore: Man dies in police custody, area tense

Twenty eight-year-old Anjum Rashid has allegedly died in police custody in Kashmir's Sopore town. He was picked up by the police on Saturday for questioning in connection with the killing of a civilian in the area.

The last 24 hours have seen the death of three young people in the Kashmir valley. In the second civilian casualty in the valley on Monday, a 9-year-old boy was killed in CRPF firing in Baramulla. Earlier in the day, a youth was killed in Sopore which has been witnessing violent clashes between protesters and security forces.
