Kerala Police have arrested five people, including a CPM activist for their alleged involvement in the murder of a former party leader in north Kerala. TP Chandrashekaran, who quit the CPM a few years ago and launched an outfit called the Revolutionary Marxist Party, was murdered in Kozhikode on May 4.

Police have taken into custody a 15-year-old for allegedly murdering his classmate inside the school premises. The body of Legin, a class X student, was found inside the St George Higher Secondary school compound at Muttar on Monday night.
