An Aston Martin DB10 car designed for the latest James Bond film "Spectre" has sold for some $3.5 million at auction, far exceeding its reserve price.

During the shooting of a chase scene in Italy, a total of seven specially-designed Aston Martin DB10 sports cars were destroyed. We've already shown car chases from the 24th Bond movie which is all set to release in October this year and we've also told you all about the cars in the movie. Well, Jaguar Land Rover brought all the cars that will make their on screen debut to the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Well, we've already told you about the cars - the Aston Martin DB10 and the Jaguar C-X75; and the car chases. While the Aston Martin DB10 might be nothing more than a restyled V8 Vantage, the trailer shows that it has some tricks added to it to make it (don't mind the clich) sparkling.

Though Aston Martin continues to be the 'Bond car', one must not forget the other British car maker associated with the franchise - Jaguar Land Rover. JLR has made appearances in Bond movies before and will do it again, with three different models for the upcoming 007 movie - Spectre.
