SpiceJet Plane Asked To Abort Goa Landing, "Major Accident" Averted: Navy

A "major accident" was averted on Tuesday morning at Goa airport when an alert runway controller forced a SpiceJet flight to abort landing after noticing that the plane was on final approach without deploying its nose landing gear, said an Indian Navy spokesperson.

An Air Traffic Controller was taken off duty by the aviation regulator DGCA after a major accident was averted at the Delhi airport on Tuesday morning as an IndiGo and a SpiceJet aircraft came face-to-face on the runway, allegedly because of "miscommunication".
