Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has said that he feels "very sad" and even feels like crying, when he is made to prove his patriotism, asserting there is no patriot "greater" than him.

Asked whether he felt that his 'intolerance' remark had made people 'conscious' in the society, Shah Rukh responded: "I feel there is a specific platform for everything. Here we are talking about kids, so it would be good to talk about this on a platform where it is being discussed"

Wading into the intolerance debate, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar today came out against remarks by Aamir Khan, saying ups and downs happen in every nation and one should not start giving "bold" statements.

Following controversies over his comment on intolerance, actor Shahrukh Khan today said he won't answer any question on political and religious matters.

"What I want to say, I speak. But lot of things I say are misconstrued, perhaps mispresented, and perhaps misinterpreted sometimes. "I have not said anything for which I should apologise. I am not in a stage or age that I need to clarify. People know me," said Shah Rukh Khan
