Stanford University List On Top Scientists

The database of top-cited scientists has taken into consideration research publications upto 2021 end and included the top two per cent of the scientists of the world based on percentile score. Scientists are classified into 22 fields and 176 sub-fields.

At least 14 scientists from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) - Banaras Hindu University have figured among the top two per cent scientists in a global list compiled by the prestigious Standford University. The list also includes 22 faculty members or researchers from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati.

As many as 23 scientists from government universities in Delhi have been placed in the list of world’s top 2% scientists by Stanford University. The list was released on October 16 in the PLOS journal and contains names of over 1,00,000 scientists.
