The Taliban has announced that the women in Afghanistan will be stoned to death for adultery, a report has said.

The Islamic State group has beheaded two women in eastern Syria accused of "witchcraft and sorcery", a monitor said today, in the jihadists' first decapitations of female civilians.

A 23-year-old Sudanese woman, mother to a six-month-old baby, has been convicted of adultery and will be stoned to death, Sky News reported. Laila Ibrahim Issa Jamool is being kept shackled to her baby in Omdurman women's prison after she was convicted by a court in the capital Khartoum July 10.
