Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has promised to supply 1,000 kilo-litre of subsided kerosene to Odisha, as per request made by state chief minister Naveen Patnaik in the aftermath of Cyclone Fani.

The government is looking to eliminate subsidy on the domestic fuels, LPG and Kerosene, through small hikes.

Subsidised cooking gas (LPG) price was on Monday hiked by Rs 1.93 per cylinder, the second increase in rates in one month as the government looked at monthly increases to cut down subsidies.
