Supreme Court On Healthcare Services

The Centre has told Supreme Court that it is dedicated to improve access to menstrual hygiene for young girls but the responsibility of providing healthcare services lies with the respective state governments as public health is a state subject.

The Supreme Court Friday said that doctors and healthcare services are not excluded from the ambit of the Consumer Protection Act of 2019 and termed the PIL concerning it as a "motivated PIL".
