Achieving complete success of 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' will not be possible until the entire population uses toilets, Union Minister Chaudhary Birender Singh today said as he urged social groups and communities to work towards the goal of making India open defecation-free.

The Centre, Delhi government and all the three Municipal Corporations have joined hands to ensure effective implementation of Swachch Bharat Abhiyan in the national capital and rid the city of garbage and debris.

As she left for Delhi where she is expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi tomorrow, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said it was her state that first launched a cleanliness campaign and much before the PM's Swachch Bharat mission.

Taking Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Swachch Bharat Abhiyan' to the next level, the Delhi government has decided to set up a control room in the Delhi Secretariat where citizens can register their complaints about garbage being not picked up or cleaned in the city.
