Swiss Woman Gangrape

Two weeks after a Swiss national was gang-raped in Madhya Pradesh' Datia district, the trial in the case will begin at a local court there today.

The Assembly in Madhya Pradesh is in complete disarray with demands of resignation of the state Home Minister after the shocking gang-rape of a Swiss tourist in Datia district on Friday.

Terming as "unfortunate" the incident of gangrape of a Swiss woman, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Uma Shankar Gupta today said foreign tourists were not following rules about informing local police about their movements.

The Madhya Pradesh Police has arrested six persons in connection with the gang-rape of a 39-year-old Swiss national on Friday. They have also recovered the stolen laptop and mobile phone of the Swiss couple from the arrested persons.
