Two rockets fired from neighbouring Syria hit the centre of a Turkish border town for a second straight day on Tuesday, local media reported.

The Turkish military on Saturday hit targets of the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) and the Syrian regime in two separate incidents in response to incoming fire, the state-run Anatolia news agency reported.

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has said the military has struck Kurdish fighters across the border in northern Syria "twice".

The Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union (PYD) plans to open a mission in Russia, a move that would anger Turkey which sees the party as a terrorist group, Russia's Kommersant newspaper reported today.
