Swine flu claimed three more lives in Hyderabad on Tuesday, taking the toll in Telangana this year to ten. Two of the patients died in Osmania Hospital, where two more patients -- one of them a junior doctor - is being treated. Another death took place in Gandhi Hospital, the nodal hospital for the disease.

Three persons suffering from swine flu have died in a single day in Hyderabad, triggering fears of an epidemic. Over the last week, 10 cases have been reported.

The Telangana government has sanctioned 200 additional medical seats across three medical colleges in the state from the current academic year.

TRS today announced the names of candidates for the assembly constituencies in Telangana region for the March 18 bypolls. The candidates are Jupally Krishna Rao (Kollapur), T Rajaiah (Station Ghanpur), Jogu Ramanna (Adilabad), Gampa Govardhan (Kamareddy) and Syed Ibrahim (Mahabubnagar), TRS members said.
