Singer Chinmayi Sripaada, who had accused veteran poet-lyricist Vairamuthu of sexual harassment as part of the #MeToo movement, has been asked to pay Rs 1.5 lakh to be taken back in the South Indian Cine Television Artistes and Dubbing Artistes Union.

Dubbing as "irresponsible statements" the charges levelled by sacked Tamil Nadu chief secretary P Rama Mohana Rao over the Income Tax raids against him, Union minister M Venkaiah Naidu on Tuesday said there was no political interference and the law will take its own course in the matter.
