Bus tragedy: Tamil Nadu government opposes grant of bail to vehicles' inspector
The Tamil Nadu government on Monday objected to grant of bail to correspondent of a school and a Motor Vehicles Inspector, arrested in connection with the death of a second standard after she fell through a hole in floor of the bus while returning home on July 25.

Bus tragedy: 14 school vehicles found operating without permit in Erode
In a crackdown on unauthorised vehicles used for transporting school children in the wake of the death of a six-year old girl in Chennai, Regional Transport Officials in Erode slapped a fine of Rs 84,000 on 14 vehicles being operated without necessary permit.

School owner arrested after class II student dies in bus tragedy
Six-year-old Shruti was returning home in the bus. She wasn't standing on the footboard or peering out of the window. The bus was so badly maintained that the floor which already had some patch work caved in. Shruti fell down and was run over.
