Tamil Nadu government has shut a fertiliser manufacturing facility in Ennore near Chennai after ammonia gas leaked from its sub-sea pipeline leading to six people being hospitalised on Tuesday night. They were discharged from the hospital.

There Is Enough Supply: Ministry Denies Any Shortage Of Fertilisers

The Centre today said there is adequate availability of key fertilisers, including urea and DAP (Di-Ammonium Phosphate), across the country for the ongoing rabi season, rejecting reports of shortage in Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan.

Cabinet approves land for Indian Oil Corp's Ennore LNG terminal

The Union Cabinet on Thursday approved leasing of land of Ennore Port Ltd for a Rs 4,320-crore liquid gas (LNG) import terminal being built by state-owned Indian Oil Corp (IOC). IOC plans to build a 5 million tonne a year liquefied natural gas (LNG) import facility at Katupalli (Ennore) by 2016.
