Tamil Nadu Government On Zika

The Tamil Nadu government today sought to allay fears over discovery of the first Zika case, saying the victim has already been cured and the village from which it was reported is under close watch.

Till date, no case of Zika virus disease has been reported in India even as dengue-hit states of Maharashtra, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry have been alerted as the same type of mosquito spreads both the viruses, the Lok Sabha was informed on Friday.
