Calling BJP's manifesto for Telangana elections a 'waste paper', Telangana Congress President Revanth Reddy on Sunday said that the poll promises made by the BJP have no relevance as they do not have any stake in the state.

The BJP in its manifesto for Telangana has promised to form a committee headed by a retired Supreme Court judge to go into alleged corruption by the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government, headed by Chief Minister KC Chandrashekar Rao.

The national executive member of the BJP, Gaddam Vivekanand, who was heading the manifesto committee of Telangana BJP, crossed over to the Congress, saying the shift was needed to end Chief Minister KCR's rule in the state.
