Terror Alert In Goa

Large gatherings have been banned in North Goa after intelligence inputs about possible terror activity along the western coast, the police said.

Goa issued an alert on Friday to all the vessels and casinos operating off the state's coast following an intelligence input about possible arrival of terrorists on board a fishing trawler, the state's ports minister said.

The Indian Coast Guard has stepped up security along the west coast of the country following inputs from central security agencies that Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba terror group may carry out an attack in Delhi, "We have increased vigil and patrolling activity along the west coast," an official of the Coast Guard said today.
