Around 300 terrorists are present in Jammu and Kashmir, while 160 others are waiting on the launch pads for an opportunity to sneak into this side from across the Line of Control (LoC) in Pakistan, a top army commander said on Tuesday.

The Army had carried out "pinpointed strikes" on terror launch pads inside Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in response to Pakistani military's unrelenting efforts to push maximum number of terrorists into India before the onset of harsh winters, defence sources said today.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday said the Indian Army is carrying out "targeted strikes" on terror launch pads along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.
