Panasonic Energy announced on Wednesday that it has picked Kansas as the site for a new battery plant with an investment of $4 billion (roughly Rs. 31,900 crore) and an aim to create 4,000 jobs. Panasonic plans to expand battery production capacity by three to four times by 2029, with most of the increase in North America, according to the company.
