Over one lakh people from all over the country today visited Sri Ramanathaswamy temple here and offered worship at the temple after poojas to their forefathers on the auspicious Thai Amavasya day today.

An estimated one lakh pilgrims from different parts of the country today took a holy dip in the 'agnitheertham' sea here and worshiped their forefathers on the auspicious occasion of 'Thai amavasya' (new moon day).
