Home Minister P Chidambaram met Pakistan's Interior Minister Rehman Malik in the sidelines of the fourth SAARC Summit in Thimphu. A statement released by Pak High Commission in New Delhi said the meeting was held in a "cordial atmosphere".

Ahead of their meeting in Thimphu, the Prime Ministers of India and Pakistan were asked to take a stroll together by the other leaders present at the SAARC.
