A rare river otter attack in southern Montana has injured three women floating in inner tubes.

A 16-year-old girl has emerged as a 'superhero' after miraculously surviving a plane crash in a mountainous region in Washington state that is feared to have killed her grandparents.

Eight women belonging to a family, including three below the age of 14, drowned after their bullock cart fell into a river canal in the pilgrimage town of Savadatti in north Karnataka, police said. Three other women were rescued and rushed to hospital, while the cart rider swam ashore safely and helped in the rescue mission, police said.
