Tibet Indian Citizens

The Indian Embassy in Nepal has asked Indian citizens planning to travel for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra through the Himalayan kingdom to get appropriate Chinese visa and travel permit for Tibet before commencing the journey.

The Delhi High Court Thursday said that nationality of Tibetans, born in India between 1950 and 1987, cannot be questioned under the Citizenship Act and directed the government to issue passports to all Tibetans who meet the criteria of being Indian citizens by birth.
