Several markets in the Tilak Nagar area have been closed by the sub-divisional magistrate till July 27 following violations of Covid protocols, officials said today.

Businessman critically injured after being shot at in a Delhi market

A 39-year-old businessman was shot at in a crowded market in the capital by unidentified men riding a motorcycle this morning, police said. He was immediately taken to a hospital where his condition is stated to be critical.

Ashok Kumar. owner of DD Jeweller in the busy Tilak Nagar market was killed on Sunday evening when five people, travelling on two bikes, barged into his shop and slit his throat. Before fleeing they took away Rs 1.5 lakh in cash.
