Railways Cancels All Tickets For Regular Trains From July 1 To August 12

The Indian Railways on Thursday said it would refund all tickets booked for regular trains between July 1 and August 12 as coronavirus cases in the country surged a month after the government started relaxing some of the restrictions imposed in March. Only special trains announced in May and June will run, the railways said.

4,155 Shramik Trains Ferried Over 57 Lakh Migrants Since May 1: Railways

The Railways has operated 4,155 Shramik Special trains ferrying more than 57 lakh migrant workers since May 1. In addition to Shramik specials, Railways are running 15 pairs of special Rajdhani type trains connecting New Delhi and started 200 more time tabled trains from June 1.

Online Bookings Open Today For Passenger Trains From June 1

The railways today said bookings for 200 regular passenger trains will open from 10 am tomorrow on the IRCTC website or through its app. These trains will run from June 1 and include both air-conditioned and non-AC coaches, the railways said, a day after it said only non-AC passenger trains would run.
