Truckers Protest Against Taxes

The first day of the truckers strike has hit supplies pan India and caused a loss of Rs 2,000 crore to the sector, transporters body AIMTC said today.

Truck operators have begun their two-day nationwide strike to protest against the Goods and Services Tax or GST, diesel price hike and corruption on roads. The truckers' 2 day strike has been organised by truckers' association All India Motor Transport Congress (AIMTC).
