The daughter of policeman Tukaram Ombale, who was killed while trying to capture terrorist Ajmal Kasab, says her family still awaits his return, nine years after the Mumbai terror attacks.

Late in the night of 26/11, 2008, Constable Tukaram Ombale caught up with the police car that Ajmal Kasab and his fellow terrorist Ismail had hijacked after shooting at three senior cops and a killng spree at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus in Mumbai.

A memorial for slain policeman Tukaram Ombale will be unveiled at Girgaum Chowpatty here on the third anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. Ashoka Chakra awardee Ombale, who was assistant sub-inspector of police, was shot dead by terrorist Ajmal Kasab during the attacks in 2008.

Tukaram Ombale died while trying to capture Ajmal Amir Kasab. The Pakistani terrorist has been sentenced to death in the 26/11 attacks case.
