The civil aviation ministry on Sunday said as many as 601 routes and 71 airports have been operationalised under the regional air connectivity scheme UDAN, which was introduced eight years ago.

The government has not cancelled any route under the regional air connectivity scheme UDAN, Minister of State for Civil Aviation V K Singh said in the Rajya Sabha on Monday.

The airport, touted as the dream project of Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij, will be established on 20 acres, alongside the Air Force Station.
