Udf Wins In Kerala By-polls

Left front won in 24 out of the 42 wards across 12 districts of Kerala where by-elections. The Congress-led UDF, on the other hand, lost in eight wards which were with it earlier. However, it won in 12 out of the 42 wards where by-polls were held.

Kerala's ruling United Democratic Front (UDF) on Wednesday won the Piravom by-election with Anup Jacob defeating his Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) rival by more than 12,000 votes.
