Ukraine Parliament Clashes

The spokesman for Ukraine's President has upbraided the country's Interior Minister and the Odessa Governor for a water-throwing and insult-laced clash during a meeting of the National Reform Council.

Fighting broke out among members of Ukraine's ruling coalition in parliament today after a member of President Petro Poroshenko's bloc physically picked up Prime Minister Arseny Yatseniuk and pulled him from the podium.

Around 30 people were detained on Monday over clashes outside Ukrainian parliament in which more than 90 people including police were injured, the interior minister said.

Ukraine's parliament has approved a new defense minister as the country remains bogged down in daily clashes with pro-Russian separatist forces in its industrial eastern regions.
