Assamese movie Baandhon, directed by veteran filmmaker Jahnu Barua, has been chosen as the opening film of the Indian panorama section of International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2012 which will be held in Goa from November 20.

Vihir director Umesh Vinayak Kulkarni has won the Hubert Bals award and a cash prize of 5000 Euros for his next project at the IFFI film market.
