In a veiled attack on Pakistan, India has told the UN that it is "obvious" that thousands of foreign fighters in Afghanistan could not have entered it or sustain their terror attacks without support from beyond the war-torn country's borders.

Asserting that terror groups like Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) cannot remain active in Afghanistan without "systematic state support" from "beyond" its borders, India has asked the UN Security Council to act against this security threat with a sense of urgency.
