The Union Ministry of Education on Monday ruled out any proposal regarding reservation in promotion for OBCs in central educational institutions.

Union Minister of State for Education Subhas Sarkar stated that 4,596 OBC, 2,424 SC, and 2,622 ST students dropped out in the past five years. In IITs, 2,066 OBCs, 1,068 SCs, and 408 STs left their courses.

The enrolment of Muslim students in higher education institutions increased to 19.22 lakh in 2020-21 from 17.39 lakh in 2016-17, Union Minister of State for Education Subhas Sarkar said today.

The Union Minister of State for Education, Dr Subhas Sarkar was in the state of Arunachal Pradesh to review NITI Aayog’s aspirational district programme.

During the launch of NCF for Foundational Stage 2022 and Balvatika in addition to the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, ministers of state for education, Annpurna Devi, Subhas Sarkar, Rajkumar Ranjan Singh will also be present.

The statistics from 45 central universities were shared by the Union Minister of State for Education Subhas Sarkar in response to a written question in Lok Sabha.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and the Minister of Education for State Subhas Sarkar will launch the textbook on Indian Knowledge System. The launch will be broadcast live from 4:30 pm on the AICTE Media YouTube Channel.
