Unlock 5 Guidelines India

The lockdown in Delhi will be in place till 5 am on Monday, after which restrictions will be gradually eased, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said today announcing Unlock guidelines.

The number of new coronavirus infections reported daily in India dropped below 50,000 nearly after three months, taking India's COVID-19 caseload to 75,97,063, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Tuesday.

India's COVID-19 tally of cases went past 69 lakh with 70,496 infections being reported in a day, while active cases of infection fell below 9 lakh after a month, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Friday.

Fifty per cent occupancy, staggered show timings in multiplexes, social distancing, thermal screening and frequent sanitization are among the guidelines issued for operation of cinema halls, theatres and multiplexes from October 15. They were recently allowed to resume operations under the Unlock 5 guidelines.

India reported a sharp drop in new COVID-19 cases recorded in the last 24 hours, with the Health Ministry data released this morning showing 61,267 fresh cases of coronavirus. With this, the total Covid cases in India have crossed 66.85 lakh with total deaths at 1,03,569, including 884 in 24 hours.

Unlock 5: The Puducherry government on Thursday said it would implement the Centre's guidelines under Unlock-5 to reopen more activities in a calibrated manner in areas outside the containment zones including the opening of schools, cinemas, theatres and multiplexes.
