Up Bareilly Rape Police Constable

A man posing as a police officer was arrested and sent to jail on Tuesday for allegedly raping a woman constable and defrauding her of several lakhs of rupees, officials in Bareilly said.

Five family members of a rape accused have been arrested for allegedly manhandling a woman constable and tearing her uniform inside a police station in Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly, an official said on Monday.

Veer Pal Singh Yadav, second of the two constables accused of raping a 14-year-old girl in Uttar Pradesh's Badaun, was today arrested from Bareilly. The arrest comes more then 10 days after the girl's family registered a complaint.
